Welcome, Fat Earth Media!
I describe myself as a “digital multitool” with experience leading teams and projects across marketing, email, and design. Check out the projects I’ve worked on!
Experience Overview
I have worked on many projects over the years, but I have chosen the projects I feel are most relevant to this opportunity for your convenience.
Salt Strong Overview
Salt Strong Graphic Emails and Promos
Salt Strong Direct Response Emails
I was the head of Marketing and Sales at Salt Strong, managing a team of 13 writers, designers, marketers, and sales people. I came in to a rapid growth team, which was disorganized, and identified new KPI’s and projects. I deployed new tools and strategies.
Ultimately, this resulted in a 23% growth in revenue, a 31% increase in landing page conversion rate, and a ROAS increase from 110% to 142%.
At Salt Strong, we had two main email lists - Salt Strong, and Fish Strong. Fish Strong just sold gear from our stores, and called for a greater quality of email, outside of our typical direct response.
I worked with and managed an email agency, directing copy and design to align with our sales goals through the Klayvio platform.
We also created cart abandon campaigns and last purchase campaigns to drive revenue and an increase in customer LTV.
I generated $410k a month in MIR through direct response and graphic emails to our email list of over 60,000.
Salt Strong is a very sales forward company. We spend a lot of time building our email list, delivering quality content to keep members happy, and pitching new products hard.
Whether it was writing the copy myself, or coaching a young copywriter to improve his skills in direct response, our emails boasted an impressive average 51% open rate and 4.7% open rate.
I generated $410k a month in MIR through direct response and graphic emails to our email list of over 60,000.
CreatorU Content
CreatorU Website & Community
CreatorU Launch & Support
The core part of my job is managing a team of creatives, reviewing, and editing our course materials. I help with the production of videos, PDFs, presentations, emails, landing pages, design assets, and social media to ensure quality and brand consistency.
In order to alleviate these bottlenecks and give leadership time to do what they did best, I developed new courses and promotions.
I also managed the live production of these productions and field Q&A from our live audiences. I have even appeared as a guest host on the show.
I worked with a team of developers and product designers to bug smash, develop and ship new features, and improve user experience.
As the only person with a holistic view of the platform content, I also provide instructional guidance and support for subscribers by fielding questions via live chat, email, and text.
These frequently take the form of answering live Q&A on CreatorU, answering questions from our support team, and even some late nights supporting questions via text from prospective customers during launch weeks.
I first began my work at SamCart by helping to launch its eLearning platform, CreatorU. During its first week, I helped grow it to 10,000 subscribers while learning a new system, troubleshooting customer access issues, supporting customer questions and needs during launch, and analyzing marketing data to pivot live marketing strategy for maximum reach and impact.
During my time there, I helped grow the subscribers to over 65,000 over the course of a year, worked with the team on design
CreatorU Video & Design
Though I work with a team of video editors and designers, in order to allow people to take PTO, family leave, or just tackle large projects, I often fill in by taking on video and design tasks.
I have recorded lots of videos, webinars and b-roll for our team, edited social media reels, created dozens of PDFs, and edited hundreds of thumbnails and other visual assets.
Content Calendar Management
During my time at SamCart and CreatorU, I created content calendars inside of Notion and Clickup to manage our content calendar and creative teams. These calendars comprised two email brands, 3 social media channels, and content for our internal LMS.
Consulting
At Affirma, I project managed many projects with clients big and small, from email campaigns, to PPC managed services, to webinar production for Fortune 500 clients.
Whether it is keeping clients happy, winning them over in the first place, or delivering a quality project, I have experience ensuring projects come across under budget, on time, and clients come away overjoyed.
My Design Portfolio
I work in and manage teams of designers. Here are examples of my work:
Thumbnails & Mockups
Much of my professional design experience has come from designing thumbnails for CreatorU and for YouTube. The goal here is to be on brand - but also to drive engagement!
Photoshop & Illustrator
From illustration and design to classic “photo-whacking” (or what most people call “photoshopping”, I am skilled in the use of the entire suite of Adobe creative tools, including Photoshop and Illustrator, and have experience across a variety of industries, styles, and applications.
PDFs & Presentations
Whether it is handouts for sales conferences, or presentation decks for new courses, I have experience creating PDFs and presentations across a variety of platforms, including with InDesign, Pitch, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.

My Resume
When you want to tell a story visually, and professionally, and your fundamentals (sound, light, camera) are all firmly in place, the next thing that can set you apart is motion graphics.
Moving shapes, text and images to better tell a story or better show your brand makes a huge different in how your brand is perceived.
